2 Kings 2:12 (NKJV): “And Elisha saw it, and he cried out, “My father, my father, the chariot of Israel and its horsemen!” So he saw him no more. And he took hold of his own clothes and tore them into two pieces.”

It is entirely possible for a man to represent something great in the realm of the spirit, to carry a heavy and weighty mandate, yet not fully know this truth or what it means.
Our theme scripture reveals Elijah’s true spiritual identity and significance when Elisha watched him depart, crying out, “My father, my father, the chariot of Israel and its horsemen!” (2 Kings 2:12). It implies that Elijah was the spiritual protection over his territory; he was the equivalent of an entire army.
But how could such a great and powerful man run away from Jezebel? After a threat from the queen, Scripture notes that “he arose and ran for his life” and hid in a cave (1 Kings 19:3, 9). When the Lord appeared to him while he was there, He asked him, “What are you doing here, Elijah?” (1 Kings 19:9). He meant to say that Elijah’s kind did not run or flee like he had done.
It is entirely possible to be far more in God than you can interpret for yourself. When you do not know who you truly are, you will run and hide from things you were never meant to fear, fleeing from what should be fleeing from you. This should not be your testimony. May God give you a full vision and interpretation of who you truly are in Him. Hallelujah!

GOLDEN NUGGET: When you do not know who you truly are, you will run and hide from things you were never meant to fear, fleeing from what should be fleeing from you. This should not be your testimony. May God give you a full vision and interpretation of who you truly are in Him.
PRAYER: Loving Father, I thank You for this word. Thank You because You open my eyes to who I am in You. As I grow in the knowledge of this reality, I rise in boldness and refuse to fear. Each day, You give me deeper clarity of my mandate and assignment and strengthen me in the places where I must stand. I remain steadfast in the face of persecution or any schemes of the enemy. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
