Apostle Grace Lubega
Zechariah 4:10 (NKJV): “For who has despised the day of small things? For these seven rejoice to see the plumb line in the hand of Zerubbabel. They are the eyes of the Lord, which scan to and fro throughout the whole earth.”

Some believers struggle with wealth building because they do not respect small beginnings. But one truth you must appreciate is that God does. In our theme scripture, He asks, “Who has despised the day of small things?” He asks this because He does not despise them.
Some Christians, even when they lack jobs despise certain places, tasks or responsibilities and claim to be “overqualified.” They would rather sit home doing nothing. They think to themselves, “How can I, an entire graduate, be seen doing such a menial task?”
That is one sure way to disqualify yourself from the paths of greatness. What if that small stall is where God wants to start from in order to give you an entire supply chain? What if that cleaning job is where God wants to start from before He makes you a Chief Executive?
God often sets great destinies from simple or small assignments. The issue is not always where you start from but whether you are faithful there.
Do not sit back waiting for the big break. Do something, no matter how small. Start where you are, with what you have, and with the grace God has given you. He shall elevate you from there. Praise God!

GOLDEN NUGGET: God often sets great destinies from simple or small assignments. The issue is not always where you start from, but whether you are faithful there.
PRAYER: Loving Father, I thank You for Your Word. By it, I learn to honour small beginnings. I choose to be faithful in every assignment You place before me. I am delivered from all manner of pride and entitlement. My eyes are open to see the greatness hidden in the little opportunities around me. I receive the grace to start, to be diligent, and to grow into all that You have ordained for me. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
