Apostle Grace Lubega
Psalm 100:4 (KJV): “Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise: be thankful unto him, and bless his name.”
—
God is very particular about the details of our worship. It matters to Him not only that we come into His presence, but how we come. The attitude with which you enter the presence of God carries great significance.
Some people view prayer and church attendance as a burden—something to be endured and ticked off a to-do list. This mindset affects how they come before God. Such individuals may arrive feeling sullen, distracted, or impatient, already anxious for the service to end so they can attend to other “important” matters.
That should not be you, child of God.
Service days should stir a deep sense of excitement within your spirit. On a service day, wake up with joy and gratitude, eagerly anticipating time in the presence of the Lord. Begin the day with expectation, knowing that God never gathers people and does nothing. When He draws you into His presence, He has prepared something specific for you. As such, be like an excited child who can hardly wait to receive a gift promised by a loving parent.
As you make your way to the service, deliberately enter a mode of thanksgiving. Rejoice in advance for what God is about to do. Thank Him for the shifts He brings, for the clarity, healing, and elevation that come from being in His presence. Enter His courts with praise. Hallelujah!

PRAYER: Heavenly Father, thank You for the privilege of access to Your presence. Today, I come before You with thanksgiving and praise. My heart is full of joy, expectation, and awe for who You are. I value Your presence above all else because every encounter with You brings transformation to my life. No moment with You can leave me the same. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
