Apostle Grace Lubega
Romans 12:11 (NIV): “Never be lacking in zeal, but keep your spiritual fervor, serving the Lord.”

Some people are naturally talented. Singing comes easy. Speaking flows naturally. They can organize, lead, write, or play instruments without much struggle. And while that’s a blessing, it can also be a problem if one is not wise.
When something comes easy, we sometimes start to think that’s enough. We assume the gift will carry us through. So we stop working hard. We stop growing. We stop praying. We stop being on fire for God.
However, even if you’re gifted, you still have a responsibility to be fervent—to stay passionate, hungry, and committed.
Just because you’re good at something doesn’t mean you’ve arrived. God cares about more than talent or the gift you have. He looks at your effort, your faithfulness, your consistency, and the fire in your heart.
Think about it: a gifted singer in the church who doesn’t pray or grow in the Word will not be impactful. A naturally smart student who never studies may still fail. In the same way, a gifted believer who lacks fervency will lose their effectiveness.
Are you gifted as a prophet, teacher of the Word, or demonstrator of the Spirit? Invest in the gift. Make time to pray and study God’s Word. Be available when called upon. Don’t let your gift make you passive or lazy in your walk with God.

GOLDEN NUGGET: A gifted believer who lacks fervency will lose their effectiveness. Don’t let your gift make you passive or lazy in your walk with God.
PRAYER: Loving Father, I thank You for the gifts You’ve given me. I understand the responsibility of fervency. I grow in passion, discipline, and faithfulness. You keep my heart burning for You. By wisdom, I serve You not just with skill, but with fire. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
