In yesterday’s devotion, we learnt that your mantle will always be bigger than you.
Today, I wish for you to understand that we GROW into mantles. If you receive a mantle and do not grow into it, you will never fully achieve what God has designed as your purpose in life.
Every mantle comes with the demand for you to change, adjust, change and evolve. It should not leave you the same man.
When Elisha received Elijah’s mantle, the Bible says, “he returned back from him, and took a yoke of oxen, and slew them, and boiled their flesh with the instruments of the oxen, and gave unto the people, and they did eat. Then he arose, and went after Elijah, and ministered unto him.” (1 Kings 19:21).
This was all Elisha knew. He let go of it all for the higher purpose of growing into what he had received.
The late Evangelist Reinhard Bonkhe said that when he received the mantle from Evangelist George Jeffreys, he had to forget everything he knew because what he knew was exactly how God could never use him.
Growing into a mantle is what makes the man who received it a different man: different from the man his siblings grew up with; different from the peers he attended classes with; different from people he sat together in church with. Hallelujah!

1 Wafalme 19:19 (KJV); Basi, akaondoka huko, akamkuta Elisha mwana wa Shafati, aliyekuwa akilima, mwenye jozi za ng’ombe kumi na mbili mbele yake, na yeye mwenyewe alikuwa pamoja na lile la kumi na mbili. Eliya akapita karibu naye, akatupa vazi lake juu yake.

Katika ibada ya jana, tulijifunza kwamba vazi lako litakuwa kubwa zaidi kuliko wewe.
Leo, natamani uelewe kuwa TUNAKUA katika joho. Ukipokea vazi na kutokukua ndani yake, hutafanikiwa kikamilifu kwa kile ambacho Mungu amepanga kama kusudi lako maishani.
Kila vazi huja na hitaji la wewe kubadilika, kurekebisha na kufanya mageuzi. Halipaswi kukuacha mtu yule yule.
Elisha alipolipokea vazi la Eliya, Biblia inasema, “akarudi nyuma kutoka kwake, akatwaa jozi ya ng’ombe, akawachinja, akapika nyama yao kwa vyombo vya ng’ombe hao, akawapa watu, nao wakala. Kisha akainuka, akamfuata Eliya, na kumtumikia” (1 Wafalme 19:21).

1 Rois 19:19 (LSG); Élie partit de là, et il trouva Élisée, fils de Schaphath, qui labourait. Il y avait devant lui douze paires de bœufs, et il était avec la douzième. Élie s’approcha de lui, et il jeta sur lui son manteau.

Lors de la dévotion d’hier, nous avons appris que votre manteau sera toujours plus grand que vous.
Aujourd’hui, je souhaite que vous compreniez que nous GRANDISSONS en manteaux. Si vous recevez un manteau et n’y grandissez pas, vous n’atteindrez jamais pleinement ce que Dieu a conçu comme étant votre but dans la vie.
Chaque manteau s’accompagne d’une demande de changement, d’ajustement et d’évolution. Cela ne devrait pas vous laisser le même homme.
Quand Élisée reçut le manteau d’Élie, la Bible dit : « il revint prendre une paire de bœufs, qu’il offrit en sacrifice; avec l’attelage des bœufs, il fit cuire leur chair, et la donna à manger au peuple. Puis il se leva, suivit Élie, et fut à son service. (1 Rois 19:21)
C’était tout ce qu’Élisée savait. Il a tout abandonné dans le but supérieur de grandir vers ce qu’il avait reçu.
Le regretté évangéliste Reinhard Bonkhe a déclaré que lorsqu’il a reçu le manteau des mains de l’évangéliste George Jeffreys, il a dû oublier tout ce qu’il savait parce que ce qu’il savait était exactement comment Dieu ne pourrait jamais l’utiliser.
Devenir un manteau est ce qui fait de l’homme qui l’a reçu un homme différent : différent de l’homme avec lequel ses frères et sœurs ont grandi ; différent des pairs avec qui il suivait des cours ; différent des gens avec qui il était assis à l’église. Alléluia!

Si cela signifie la mort, tue-moi Seigneur. Que ce soit le témoignage de ma vie que j’ai vécu pour Toi, au nom de Jésus, Amen.
