Matthew 16:18(KJV): And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.

In yesterday’s devotion, I laboured to explain who the true enemy of the children of God is. It is the devil.
Today, I turn to the question, ‘What is our true war?’
Is it to win verbal assault tournaments against our critics?
Is it to prove who is the better minister and which is the better church?
No! Of course not!
Social media wars on who is a cult and who is not will not get men into the Kingdom. Only preaching the good news will.
As the Church, we are at the gates of hell and our mission is depopulating it.
This is the real war, to bring in as many as we can into the kingdom of light.
In this, we borrow the words of Charles Spurgeon, when he said, “If sinners be damned, at least let them leap to hell over our dead bodies. And if they perish, let them perish with our arms wrapped about their knees, imploring them to stay. If hell must be filled, let it be filled in the teeth of our exertions, and let not one go unwarned and unprayed for.”
