Apostle Grace Lubega
Proverbs 27:18(NLT); As workers who tend a fig tree are allowed to eat the fruit, so workers who protect their employer’s interests will be rewarded.
The Bible through our theme scripture teaches us the importance of protecting your employer’s interests.
This comes with the promise of a reward. Mind you, this is not merely a reward from your company but from God Himself.
Why is this so important?
God did not give you a job for you to laze around and claim promotions through the power of confessions alone.
As a faithful steward, you must also protect what you have been trusted with through that job.
Does showing up late protect the interests of your employer? No, it means that you are being paid for time you did not bother to put in.
Does a poisonous and gossipy attitude protect your employer’s interests? No, it contributes to a corrosive culture that erodes the fabric of your organisation’s core values.
Does recklessly using company resources protect your employer’s interest? No, it affects the bottom line in more ways than you can imagine because the bill does not sit on your table.
Today, I urge you to be a faithful steward in whatever organisation the Lord has allowed you to serve. If you are faithful in another man’s, God will trust you with your own(Luke 16:12).
