The Blood Of The Minister

Apostle Grace Lubega

Luke 22:44 (KJV); And being in an agony he prayed more earnestly: and his sweat was as it were great drops of blood falling down to the ground.

There is a difference between the blood that Jesus Christ shed at Calvary and the blood that he shed in the garden of Gethsemane.

The blood at Calvary purchased salvation for all men. The blood at Gethsemane is the result of the depth of his agony in the face of what he had to accomplish. It is the blood of the minister.

Every minister ought to have blood in the Testament. This means that if you truly believe, you must be ready to die for the gospel of the kingdom.

This is not just laying down your life but dying to the treasures of this world that may cause you to give the gospel lesser importance than it deserves.

If your blood as a minister is not in the Testament, you can never minister from the heart of God.

It’s the sacrifices you must make every day for the sake of the gospel, you let yourself be girdled and led where the Father wills (John 21:18), you die a thousand deaths every day because your life is not your own.

GOLDEN NUGGET:

The blood at Calvary purchased salvation for all men. The blood at Gethsemane is the blood of the minister. It’s what causes you to face the sacrifices you must make every day for the sake of the gospel, you let yourself be girdled and led where the Father wills, you die a thousand deaths every day because your life is not your own.

PRAYER: My Lord, I thank you for the patterns that you have laid out for me in the scriptures. Your birth was a pattern, your teachings were a pattern and your death was a pattern. I learn from your sacrifice and imitate after you to lay down my life for the sake of the gospel. I am not a normal minister because I understand the part of blood in the sacrifices we make for the gospel. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
