Keeping Your Spirit Healthy

Keeping Your Spirit Healthy

Apostle Grace Lubega

Proverbs 18:14(MSG), A healthy spirit conquers adversity, but what can you do when the spirit is crushed?

The winds of adversity may blast through your life and threaten to shake the strength of your spiritual convictions. The Bible has called such an eventuality an evil day(Ephesians 6:13).

When this day comes, it is of utmost importance that you “keep your spirit healthy.”

Your spirit is a strong fortress, eternally designed to withstand the strongest tempest, the wildest and most vicious attacks of the enemy.

“Keeping your spirit healthy” is the adamant refusal to be shaken by the raging storms of affliction. It is holding onto the Word of God with the strong grasp of courage regardless of how tough circumstances might be. It is looking into the eye of the storm and saying, “Do your worst and I will do mine.”

On the other hand, the crushed spirit is of one who has succumbed to the enemy’s “empty brand of intimidation.” It has sank under the weight of sorrows, deactivated its victory gears and entered into victim mode.

I have seen many desperate Christians crushed in spirit, move from church to church in hope of deliverance. They have paid homage to all categories of anointed hands but alas, they have found no rescue.

Keep your spirit healthy. How so? Purpose to always be happy and in rest. Stir yourself to joy even when you don’t feel it.
Wisdom in Proverbs 15:13 teaches her children that by the sorrow of the heart, the spirit is broken.

With joy dance to the rhythms of the Word in your heart.

GOLDEN NUGGET:
Keep your spirit healthy. How so? Purpose to always be happy and in rest. Stir yourself to joy even when you don’t feel it.

PRAYER: My God, I thank you for the joy of salvation. You have purposed that it continuously increases in my life. This joy is my strength and by it, I have a merry heart. My life is a continual feast of increase, multiplication, favour, wisdom and expansion. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
