Apostle Grace Lubega
Proverbs 23:26 (KJV); My son, give me thine heart, and let thine eyes observe my ways.
God wants ALL your heart, not just parts of it that you are comfortable opening up to Him.
You must understand that the human heart, like nature, abhors a vacuum. The heart can never be an empty space; it is always filled up with something or someone.
So, do not be deceived. If there is a part of your heart that God has not consumed, therein sits your idol.
And every time your idol speaks, its voice is contrary to the ways of God.
For example, when a person bows to money and compromises his integrity and beliefs to either get more of it or maintain his financial status, it does not matter how Christian, prayerful and tongue-speaking that individual is. A part of them is not surrendered to God and as such, money is their idol.
Every time we yield to God and give Him our hearts, we dethrone idols in our lives. When we do this, we allow Him to work through us unhindered.

GOLDEN NUGGET: The human heart, like nature, abhors a vacuum. If there is a part of your heart that God has not consumed, therein sits your idol.
PRAYER: Loving Father, I thank You for this truth. Thank You for provoking me to have a much deeper understanding of how You work. I yield my heart to You and as I do, I observe Your ways. I have totally surrendered to You that there is no room for anything else in me but the depth of Your love, the height of Your compassion, and the greatness of Your power, in Jesus’ name, Amen.
