Why we Preach the Grace: Friends of God

Apostle Grace Lubega

James 2:23 (KJV);And the scripture was fulfilled which saith, Abraham believed God, and it was imputed unto him for righteousness: and he was called the Friend of God.

In this life, there are people who are busy seeking God while there are those whom God is seeking.

Some are in quest of friendship with God while others find themselves as the recipients of this friendship.

Take the example of Abraham. He was a worshipper of the sun god before the Lord called him.

God did not find him on a prayer mountain seeking Him. He sought for him and instructed him to leave his household and go to a land the Lord would show him(Genesis 12:1).

The scriptures later reveal that he was called the friend of God because righteousness was imputed upon him.

You do not become a friend of God by doing anything to win His approval.

You are a friend of God because you received His grace and love.

Friendship with God starts from the point when you accept the free gift of imputed righteousness by grace. Hallelujah!

GOLDEN NUGGET

You are a friend of God because you received His grace and love.

PRAYER: Father, I thank you for the gift of your grace. I thrive in it knowing that by grace, you have drawn me to yourself. It is love and grace that has deepened the intimacy of our relationship and not the things I may do to please you. You are already pleased with me because I am your beloved child. I am also more than a child, I am a friend. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
