Casting Light

Casting Light

Apostle Grace Lubega

Genesis 3:6 (KJV), And when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree to be desired to make one wise, she took of the fruit thereof, and did eat, and gave also unto her husband with her; and he did eat.

Not everything men see as good is of God. Something may be good yet not godly.

When divine light is cast on what is deceptively “good”, it exposes the evil in the good.

In the same way, the same light is projected on true goodness and that good is confirmed to be godly.

Consider this from the perspective of our theme scripture.

In the Garden of Eden was a tree of the knowledge of good and evil. The goodness of this tree is what Eve saw as “good for food, pleasant to the eyes and desirable to make one wise.”

All Eve saw was the good because she lacked the light [knowledge] to expose the evil in the good.

But what was the evil?

1 John 2:16 says, “For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world.”

In the “goodness for food” was the lust of the flesh; in the “pleasantness to the eyes” was the lust of the eyes and in the “desirability for wisdom” was the pride of life.

Good news is, what the first adamic nature lacked in knowledge, you as a new creature in Christ possess.

For this reason Paul says; “lest satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.”(2 Corinthians 2:11).

You have, by nature, the ability to discern and judge all things through the Word of God.

You have the true light of the Spirit, you can never be deceived.

GOLDEN NUGGET:
You have, by nature, the ability to discern and judge all things through the Word of God. You have the true light of the Spirit, you can never be deceived.

PRAYER: Father, I thank you for this revelation. I am above deception because I am full of light. Evil can never hide behind goodness in my presence because the Word in me cuts asunder and separates bone and marrow, soul and spirit. I walk in truth in everything that I do. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
